As a Mechanical Designer, you will be an essential part of the development of products and strive for Profoto’s vision of delivering great light in every image.

What we are looking for

Profoto is growing and has exciting and challenging projects planned. Therefore we need to add another Mechanical Design professional to our team in Profoto's head office in Stockholm.

We are looking for committed collaborators with a solid educational background and with some years of experience in product development. In Mechanical Team we support each other to reach the high set targets. We continually want you to drive change, take responsibility and develop professionally. We see failure as a necessity and part of our path to success.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibility is mechanical development within our product development and research projects that are carried out in cross-functional teams. The projects go all the way from concept design to volume production ramp-up. In our daily work, we have a close corporation with industrial and electrical designers. Our main tool is Solid Works. We always have a dialog with our suppliers regarding DFM and DFA. By prototyping and verifying our own or a colleague's design, we constantly improve our skills and constantly develop as mechanical designers.

All key functions are seated in Sundbyberg which promotes fast communication and opportunities to gain insights and learn new things from other departments.

Requirements

For this position you shall have:

• University degree in Engineering within a relevant field
• Plastic design experience
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Swedish work permit

As we have suppliers and production sites in Europe and Asia, you will be expected to travel occasionally.

If you have skills in Mechanical design of electronic products it is a plus but not a must.
