Junior Key Account Manager
The Junior Key Account Manager delivers sales and business results according to the sales strategy as set by VP Global Sales and is responsible for the sale and promotion of Profoto products in the defined market. With dealers, this should be done by encouraging resale to end users within the agreed frameworks of the sales strategy and the distribution policy. The main task of the job is to grow and develop identified accounts and new accounts and channels in the defined market. The Junior Key Account Manager defines the goals to be achieved and develops medium-term plans with assigned key accounts with the aim of partnership to achieve the set business goals.
The position is office-based but you must be able to travel to regularly visit dealers throughout the defined marked area and to events/trade shows.
Key responsibilities
- Setting sales targets and driving growth in your key accounts
- Implementation and management of accounts according to Certified Dealer Program
- Stipulating and defining price policies and contract terms
- Managing stock and sell-through data by account
- Effectively managing accounts in a multi-channel environment and driving growth in both traditional channels and new channels, with focus on Big Box accounts.
- Sales analysis (ncluding sell through data) vs. deviations to target. Investigate reason for deviations and take actions to get back on track.
- Supporting high-level negotiations with assigned Key Accounts, moving within the parameters defined by sales management
- Every quarter do account sales planning and forecast updates and reporting
- Setting targets and annual agreements with key accounts
- Maintaining business plans for all assigned accounts and reviewing monthly and before any dealer visit
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with assigned Key Accounts.
- Identifying and resolving any issues relating to the customers and Profoto.
- Ensuring that all disputes are solved within set target timing in collaboration with the Manager
- Organizing training sessions at the customer's place of business or other locations
- Organizing SPIFFs, incentives, and other sales-promoting activities with customer
- Yearly contract negotiation and signing
Online
- Online execution to maximise sell out to the end user.
- Check that dealer website is up to date with product and relevant information
- Follow up online execution with the dealer.
- Online implementation with dealer making sure Profoto is maximising the product
- exposure and the launches, as well as promotion. Additional analysis of results and continuously work on improving the performance
Instore
- Maximising in store sell out
- Follow up in-store & on brand, tidy & stocked correctly
- Follow up new staff and training requirements for staff
- Create KAM overview plan – 12 month rolling future activities plans, synching Profoto & dealers’s plans & requirements
Organisation
The Key Account Manager reports to the Representative Director, Profoto KK
Requirements
- At least 3 years of sales experience.
- Proven experience in a multi-channel sales environment and knowledge of both direct and in direct sales/marketing.
- Experience in Retail Channel or Fashion Industry is an advantage
- Excellent holistic thinking and conceptual selling skills – “selling a story”.
- Manage the business with a data-driven approach – “Having an account plan and knowing your numbers”
- Detailed and thorough knowledge of the industry, competitors, dealers and end users.
- Strong skills and experience in negotiations with key accounts.
- Outstanding problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Result-oriented with a creative mindset combined with a strong drive to win.
- Strong ability to work and deliver in a rapidly changing environment
- Team-player, working across borders in an international business environment.
- A+ written and verbal communication skill in English is required.
- A+ written and verbal communication skill in Japanese is required.
- Technical skills or product technical orientation is an advantage.
- Action and competence driven must be able to travel.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Skills within Microsoft Office 365 is required
- Has an open mindset, embraces and continuously initiates and implements change
